New talent will enhance the company’s ability to deliver high quality for market driven IP solutions tailored to individual client needs
Vermont, November 3, 2016 – Article One Partners (AOP), the world’s largest intellectual property research community, pioneer in crowd-based prior art searching, and market leader in providing customized patent research and analytics solutions for blue chip corporations and law firms worldwide, today announced that Tim Brisson, Esq. has joined the company as General Counsel and Client Evangelist. In this role, Brisson will draw from almost 25 years of experience in the patent and IP world.
“The exciting part about this new opportunity is the fact that I’ve been on all sides of IP issues and engaged on all aspects of IP management from innovation to litigation to monetization. My new role at AOP gives me the opportunity to leverage that experience on behalf of our clients,” said Brisson. “I’m excited to work with clients to help them solve problems, make great IP business decisions, and deliver high-quality research and innovative IP-related services.”
An inventor himself, Brisson was recently the Director of Innovation and Lead Patent Counsel for IpCreate. He was also previously general patent counsel for HopTo, formerly Graphon. Before that he was in private practice supporting high tech clients as a shareholder for Sierra Patent Group and a technician for the US Air Force.
With regard to the hire, AOP President Peter Vanderheyden commented:
“Tim brings a wealth of experience as an IP attorney and will immediately add value to the client experience. He’s a real advocate for our clients and understands first hand the need for reliable quality. In addition, Tim is a real believer in AOP, our value proposition, our platform and our community.”
In addition, Article One Partners recently hired Chris Brothers, a recent law graduate and a former AOP Researcher. Chris will be focused on marketing planning and execution.
