Description:

This Study is a request for prior art, preferably non-patent literature, that provides a path to invalidity for the Study patent that is not already known.   The Reward is payable to an Advisor if the Study results in prior art that provides a path to invalidity that is not already known.  

Prior art of interest will be directed to a telephone network of a structured site of the business office type which comprises a local computer network linking computers at the transmitting and receiving ends of the system through network adapters, and also telephone sets. The telephone network is provided with a computer telephony server connected to the local computer network and to the general local telephone network.

Each telephone set is connected directly to the local computer network. Connection is made through a telephone adapter and a network adapter connected in series with it. The telephone and network adapters are physically separate adapters, not just two adapters in series within the same device.The telephone adapter is capable of converting analog/digital signals adapted to the clock frequency of the local network, user call signals into the addresses of other telephone adapters connected to the local computer networks, and hang-up signals.

According to the recited telephone adapter function, any user can carry out telephone communication inside a local network without addressing a telephone server. Thus, the telephone adapter in essence is implemented with the function of a telephone server, and provides user communications inside the local network independently from the local telephone server which serves only for communications outside the local network. The prior art should also disclose successive sites having an internal telephone network duplicating the internal telephone network of a first site.
