Default Patent agent + Law degree

    Hello friends,

I am a registered indian patent agent and pursuing law.

In india we have 2+1 year system in law. After 2 yr they will award you degree of law
but for practice you have to complete 3rd year plus clear BAR council exam.

I want to know that the degree which i will receive after 2 yr study is considered as law degree in out side india or not?

    Hello sanpat,

The requirements to practice law differs depending on the country you are in. To give you a better perspective on the issue, feel free to take a look at the following examples when you get the chance:

United States (varies by state): 4 years of undergraduate university study, 3 years of law school, passing of the bar exam, and previous work experience to be considered for employment by a practicing firm.

    Singapore:

    Relevant Legal Training/Work - http://ow.ly/agk4D
    Approved Overseas Universities - http://ow.ly/agka8

    Australia: http://www.cald.asn.au/slia/Practising.htm (full explanation)

Are there any particular countries you were interested in exploring?
